Ahh Kansas. I initially moved here from Miss. in 1990 while I was in high school (my mom was transfered here), but moved away to Kentucky for college in 1993. I came back in 1999 for a job and have been stuck here ever since.

Where'd you learn French?

Technically 2 places - at home (my father is Creole) and in high school. I CAN NOT speak it fluently but I could get by on a weekend excursion to Paris.

What do you do for a living?

I am a financial analyst for a telecommunications company. I report and explain our company's monthly financial position to our VPs (the good and the bad ). I also do a lot of trend and statistical analysis in order to help our departments come up with better ways to operate efficiently.

I love my job because its not all "numbers". I do play an active part with all of our department functions. For example, I just spent the afternoon helping our PR dept come up with ideas for a free concert we're sponsoring this summer. I also help marketing come up with affordable ideas to help our company increase sales. Since I am creative in my spare ti me (I love to paint and write poetry) this is right up my alley. Plus, the pay ain't bad either!LOL

Its definitely a joy and a challenge!

Hey. I think if I had to pick, I would move back to Kentucky. I really did love the area (Frankfort) and the people.

I do. I currently dye my hair jet black/blue black. Lately, I have been seriously contemplating lightening it up to a warm, honey brown (I think it would bring out my eyes more) so this weekend, I may be a honey colored brunette!

I just bought two book by Michael Phillips (Angels Watching Over Me and a Day To Pick Your Own Cotton) so I would probably spend it reading.

This is funny! Growing up, I did this all the time until my parents got hip and started planting "gag gifts" under the tree and not bringing out our real gifts until Christmas eve. LOL

But the last time I did this, I was young and my gift was a Tea Set. I loved those!

I studied latin my freshmen year in college. That was THE HARDEST language course I'd ever had!

Can you speak another language?

Only English fluently. My French is alright. My grand-meré (dad's mom) taught us a lot but after she passed when I was 8, it all went with her. So most of what I know is learned from school.

Its starting to be. Blogging is actually taking me back to my younger days when I actually did keep a diary and when I did write (short stories, etc.). I actually loved writing and had forgotten about the passion that I had for it until I started keeping a blog. So who knows....maybe God will use blogging as a gateway to bigger things.
