CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS I am SOOO anxious to get off work right now! Like I physically feel it. Ugh. I have too much energy. I want to go jogging.

IJWTS: I just applied for a job where my mum works (different department). I just told her about it and she's excited but we don't know what the pay is. Anywhoo...I just pray for discernment if they call me for an interview or anything.
IJWTS: I'm still having issues with the Unemployment people due to my part-time job (that I've had for 6+ years!) and I have to meet with them to tell them stuff I've told them at least 3 times already. It's getting old and I wish they'd get it through their heads that I'm technically UN-EMPLOYED and was told by my former employer that I am eligible (and THEY knew about my part time gig!). grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm what Willis was talkin' bout.
IJWTS - that we should be truly be thankful for when things are going well in our lives, even if we are just content. On my way home from work tonight our skytrain was down because someone had taken their life on the tracks and all around me people were moaning about what a rough day they had and how they just wanted to go home.

now the bad news....we've switched places.

anyway, after the last couple of days and some things that have gone on (not necessarily seen on the boards) i'm about fed up and feel like some people are TRYING to push me out....whatever....good Christian behaviour...the kind I see IRL in Indiana....

I really don't think I want to try to be a Christian anymore. I just don't fit in with it. It's not that I want to give up believing. I'm just tired of feeling like I have to try and act this way or talk that way or whatever. I'm a 'what you see is what you get' kind of person and my experience has been that most Christians don't like me for it. Everything seems harder...I'm just really sick of it all. I feel like it's one big Country Club and I've never had a desire to be in one of those...
