IJWTS lunch at a local mexican restaurant with a good friend was just what the doctor ordered this afternoon.

I NEVER turn down an offer for a good mexican lunch. I have a favourite place that I've gone to since they opened in the early 90's. They all know me in there. I sometimes feel like Norm on Cheers...lol

You got it girl! A friend of mine had an interview and another friend is applying for a job. I've got a very wide circle of friends w/o jobs at the moment.

IJWS: The Say Something About Someone/Mystery thread has turned in a most distasteful way. I don't subscribe to any threads, but I had clicked on that one on occasion to post a thought or 2. I will no longer post there, which is why I'm posting this here.

I don't think any positive or negative post is about me, unless someone pm'd or messaged me about it, so I'm not taking anything personally. I just think some comments are so mean-spirited and if that is how one truly views someone else, either have the chuztpa to tell them youself in private or say no unkind words at all.


Just my $5.00 worth.

IJWTS-Whenever I put my name in one of the common surname generators, it tells me how rare my name is. I'm not surprised because if you google my name, I come up. I think that I want to marry someone with a more common surname, for a little anonymity. Although if someone does google me, they won't find anything particularly interesting.

IJWTS the company I work for has had three different people with the last name Smith work there since I started 3.5 years ago. In fact, two of them work there now and a lot of people think they're related. lol

When I google my name, I get this woman in Ohio (and oddly enough, I've met one of her relatives) but since I joined Facebook, I've had several people contact me thinking I'm someone else with the same name and the freaky part is that most of them are around my age...one in New York, another in Indiana who knows a lot of people in the Middle East and has a son, and one in Kansas or somewhere. Then two women contacted me who went to school with my cousin who had the same name til she got married in the early 80's. Growing up I thought my last name wasn't common. Thanks to the Net, I'm finding out it's pretty common after all.

IJWTS-I thought my name might be more common than I thought, but every time that I've searched myspace or facebook--I'm the only one with my name. I think it'd be kind of cool to find someone else with my name--as long as they aren't a criminal or porn star .

LOL...yeah, there's only about 3 on facebook with my name (including me) and I think I'm one of 2 on MySpace. I'm thinking the other girls with my name must have been pretty popular! lol The funny thing is the ones who searched for the "other" girl and messaged me, we're on each others' friends lists now.

My poor brother has a first name that is more commonly used as a girl's name (Morgan) so when I google his name I get all females and a couple of entries from him.

IJWTS: I'm sad because one of my former coworker's uncle-in-law shot himself last night. Another friend who knew him said they were shocked because he wasn't a depressed person or anything. I didn't know the guy but this same coworker lost her father in law a few months back.
