I am sitting outside on a quiet Saturday morning with the cool wind blowing against my face and it’s the best thing. So I hope you all will read this with a peaceful and patient tone rather than an angry one. I am not angry.

It’s pretty clear to me that my views are unpopular. I think it’s sad that this is how so many Christians are even now. I know a missionary who has had financial support withdrawn by certain folks due to his stance on desiring racial justice and reconciliation.

I know I said some things last night that some would feel were harsh, but I only say them when a person makes clear that they refuse to listen, especially when the subject involves the personal pain of others, and when politics are put before others’ humanity. To me that is uncharitable and lacking in compassion, and for that reason I do not regret anything that I said last night.

That being said, I understand that heated discussion and debate over issues that have political ties especially are all over the place on social media. I know I mentioned that I have avoided such conversations on Facebook, and I should have here as well. While I do not regret what I said, I do regret, and apologize for, bringing that debate, strife, and unrest to the Singles forum.

More than once over the past year I have had individuals with whom I have shared personal struggles and pain use that information to try to wound me later on. I just can’t allow that to happen anymore, so for that reason I will only be coming around to provide updates each week on the fantasy football league, but will otherwise avoid the forum and all other threads. Yesterday gave me the impression that this is what most people would prefer anyway. Take care.

I wonder why they closed down the "What's On Your Mind?" thread. My guess is they figured it was going to unnecessarily bog down CF's server. I dunno.
