CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS- I found out late last night that I made the quarter finals round of my school's 1L Moot Court Oral Argument competition. Only 12 people are selected out of my class of 120 and I made one of those spots! 
I compete again today at noon. Please pray for me and wish me luck!!!

Thanks guys! I went this afternoon. I did...okay. I really fumbled up one of the judge's questions though. It was a long-winded question and I didn't really understand exactly what she was asking or how her question was even relevant to the case lol. The judges really picked me apart afterward too, so that kind of sucked. But oh well. It's done. I'm probably not moving on to the next round but I guess that's okay because it means less stress. And any which way, the fact that I made it this far will look good on my resume, so I guess it's a win-win.
