• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS- My sister left the key's in the car (with it on) while I was in the back seat of the car. We were downtown. Yeah, if you can guess... a few thugs came by the car, so that someone left their keys in the car, and wanted to try to get in. Luckily, I quickly made a lot of movement in the back and locked the care in time. They ran off. I was so scared!

I just read that little sign....

'Patience with God is faith'...maybe it's just me, but that does not sound right at all.

WE shouldn't have patience with God...God has patience with us.

Yeah I agree with Pink. How often do we have patience in what God wants from us? Like so many other people in the bible, we try to do things on our own because we don't like God's way all the time. So many things are rushed because we don't trust Him. But having patience with God is pretty much having faith in Him. What if Abraham had patience with God and didn't lay with Hagar? Instead he thought God's plan took too long.

Maybe it means in regard to waiting for an answer to a prayer, or making a rash decision without praying about it first?

Hmmm...maybe. Still sounds odd, though....

Like I said above, it still sounds odd. I'm not gonna get into it right now.

Gibbs’ 50 Rules - Or At Least All The Ones We Know Of

Rule #1: Never let suspects stay together.

Rule #1: Never screw over your partner.

Rule #2: Always wear gloves at a crime scene.

Rule #3: Don’t believe what you’re told. Double check.

Rule #3: Never be unreachable. (*Most likely one of Mike Franks’ “Golden Rules” (see below) as opposed to Gibbs, because Gibbs has been known to intentionally be unreachable.*)

Rule #4: The best way to keep a secret? Keep it to yourself. Second best? Tell one other person - if you must. There is no third best.

Rule #5: You don’t waste good.

Rule #6: Never apologize. It’s a sign of weakness.

Rule #7: Always be specific when you lie.

Rule #8: Never take anything for granted.

Rule #9: Never go anywhere without a knife.

Sometimes listed as ”Never leave home without a knife.”
Rule #10: Never get personally involved in a case.

Rule #11: When the job is done, walk away.

Rule #12: Never date a co-worker.

Rule #13: Never, ever involve a lawyer.

Rule #15: Always work as a team.

Rule #16: If someone thinks they have the upper hand, break it.

Rule #18: It’s better to seek forgiveness than ask permission.

Rule #22: Never, ever bother Gibbs in interrogation.

Rule #23: Never mess with a Marine’s coffee… if you want to live.

Rule #27: There are two ways to follow someone. (1) First way, they never notice you. (2) Second way, they onlynotice you.

Rule #35: Always watch the watchers.

Rule #38: Your case, your lead.

Rule #39: There is no such thing as coincidence.

Rule #40: If it seems someone is out to get you, they are.

Rule #44: First things first, hide the women and children.

Rule #45: Clean up the mess that you make.

Also stated as, “Never leave behind loose ends.”
Rule #51: Sometimes - you’re wrong.
