  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Such a long day. It feels like Friday and it's barely Wednesday. When will it end?
On a positive note, staying busy helps one not to think.
Avoidance. Best cure for problems. Pretending nothing's wrong. Maybe that's denial... Meh.

I think of it this way, while you may want something to change, if it hasn't then maybe it isn't meant to; if that thing did change, what would be the result of said change? Would change even be something of abundance for you? Is God not the worker of good, if it was good for you wouldn't something have happened by now?

Time heals all wounds, be patient and have faith in Him.

If things did change I'm not sure how I would react.
God? There's nothing about God in this situation. People make choices. Independently. God is not a puppet master. We are not dolls on strings. Things happen because people make decisions. And I've made the decision to not care anymore. I don't think I even care if things change. I think apathy has set in. I'm finding comfort in this state.

Apathy?
Are you fatalistic by chance?
I can relate if you are, I am probably one of the most fatalistic people ever.

Hyper-sensitive, fatalistic, stubborn... but, there's the other parts which most people don't get to see.
