  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

...I sang this/read this book I think five times because Little Sir J wouldn't let me stop...until he fell asleep

But..now I have it in my head ^_^

IJWTS~I have heard nothing from all the applications I've sent in. I applied to every place in this town it seems. Even places I would probably hate working at. This is getting old. I'm so discouraged. :(

IAWTS~Just put in application number 19.

my dad used to manage numerous businesses and he told me that if you wanted to make an impression with a job or possible employer, then you become proactive. It takes more than just filling out an application. You should call them or visit in person and ask if they got your application and wanted to know if they would be willing to set up an interview. they will be impressed.

wow that was mean of them. i would recommend you rob them up and ask for larger bills to make ends meet until you can find a job. the economy is rough out there.

Well, they basically said we'll call you if we're interested and to not call them to check on things.

Someone I know called a company and they got chewed out for calling.

You never know what to do these days. So much has changed.

Just keep applying.

I was talking to my brother recently about this and he was like, "well with the economy the way it is, they'd have to hire someone just to answer those sorts of calls all day" ^_^

Just keep on

IJWTS - My office is CRAZY when it's quiet! :D Oxymoron I know. :p

My coworker decided to shoot a peanut across the room into the office of our "supervisor" to see if he could catch it in his mouth. It bounced out. :D

Then she's talking about wanting a yappy lap dog and I was like, "Awwww...I want a lappy yap dog!" :D

We haven't stopped laughing...LOL :D :D :D :D
