IJWTA: Why do printers have to "warm up"? and why does it take so long!?
Depending on what type of printer it is it could either be warming up the drum (to transfer from the toner to the paper, or heating the inkjet to use heat to generate pressure to force out the ink as a jet.
False. All printers are part of an evil conspiracy to make us wait.

That cracked me up the first couple times I watched it.Printers also always seem to break the day you have to turn in a paper.![]()
Isn't it just terrible! It's like... of all the days it can break it chooses that day. The day you have to print a 7 page paper!? Grrr! lolI know right? One time mine actually broke the night before (at like midnight) when I was printing off a project in high school. I took a picture of my printer to prove that actually broke.

Yes stir up trouble and then leave!
