I was getting ready to go see my uncle at the hospital and my transmission has finally gone kaput.
As if today hasn't been stressful enough!

IJWTS oh, sweetie...I'm so sorry.
Is there anyone who can give you a ride to the hospital? I know the car is a whole other issue you'll need to face...but seeing your uncle is a priority right now. & 
for you and for your uncle and your whole family...and the doctors/medical staff caring for him.
