The saddest part, is that just over a year or two ago, a young pregnant teacher and her young child were killed by like a 5 time DWI offender and all this stuff was said that WI was going to crack down on drunk drivers and yet.. these people are still driving!!!!!!!!!!

wow. i'd like to know what the county i currently live in is doing about the DWI rate. the county i live in, is either the highest, or one of the highest counties for DWI's in ohio. weird thing is, this county, is a small, small, small town county. several years ago, there was a drunk driver, whom from what i heard was hammered around mid-day, and struck and killed someone just taking a walk in the countryside. sad, and sad to know that any measures aren't doing anything, or maybe time needs to go on to see if the measures are doing any good, but at what cost?

I live in next to one of the biggest drunk cities in the nation. Milwaukee. And the sad thing is, we pride ourselves on it. How disgusting is that?

IJWTS - You would be like the guy who had to come and unpark my pick up for me last winter because I couldnt get it out of the parking spot without almost hitting people. Becaue of the big snow banks

IJWTS - I think I have strep... correction... I know I have strep. I am looking for home remedies.

IJWTS that I get strep and tonsilitis and treat both by gargling with equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water. It's nasty and makes me gag, but it also helps me avoid going to the doctor and having to take meds.

IJWTS - Thanks!!! I will have to try that. I get strep once a year, along with an ear infection, and i am trying to avoid the Dr. because i know i wont take the medication anyways and I dont want to waste my time nor the drs time for her to diagnose me with what I already know i have.

IJWTS-That's one of the big reasons why I want to move out of this state once I graduate; it's not just Milwaukee-it's the whole state. In my infancy and early childhood development class, the professor was showing the statistics for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and told the class that these were national statistics, for Wisconsin the rates were much higher. Apparently Wisconsin is the poster child for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Effect and my county is the poster child of the poster child.

IJWTS - Reading the drinking and driving issues, I don't think it will change anytime soon, although there was talk of taking away someone's license after x-amount of DWI's, then it hit a snag when people complained they need their license for work and now your taking away their livelyhood, etc. No talk of personal responsibility, but that's the society we live in today anyway.
