IJWTS that Dr. Jill Biden (Vice President Joseph Biden's wife) is teaching two English courses at the local community college. I need 1 more English class so I will be enrolling in her course this Summer or Fall. :)

IJWTS-That's so awesome!

IAJWTS-One of my psych professors may not be Dr. Biden, but she's hilarious. I think I am really going to enjoy her class this semester.

IJWTS-Pittsburgh has most of the things that are important to me in a city. I need public transportation (they seem to have a decent bus system), good museums, a decent library, interesting architecture (I love some of the historic architecture that I've seen in photos of Pittsburgh), shopping options (they have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Lush stores; which I can't get where I currently live) and vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurants, the weather seems decent enough, and the cost of living seems reasonable.

A bonus is that [/COLOR]there are two Amtrak routes that go through Pittsburgh (one to NYC and one to DC) from Chicago. That is nice for vacations and to visit home (I could take the Amtrak as far as Milwaukee 'til they add the additional routes they are discussing). And I like that there are major universities there, which I'm sure offer some things for community members like my university does (although I don't go to a major university).

I've thought about Pittsburgh a little myself because of the decent bus system and cost of living. It looks like a town worth checking out; if you do move there, do keep us posted. What about Amtrak adding routes (PM me so as not to go too far off topic)?

IJWTS-I don't think you can go off topic in this thread either, but PM is sent.

IAJWTS-I'd like to start a thread about the cities people live in currently and previously(positives and negatives of the cities). Tink and I want to move out of where we are and I'm sure others may want to, as well. According to an article I saw on USAToday's site yesterday, most Americans would like to live somewhere other than where they currently reside. In that same article, Denver is listed as the most popular new home city destination.

IJWTS- That sounds like it would be a cool thread. And that is a very interesting thought. I definately want to live somewhere else than where I am right now too!

IAJWTS-Today has been terrible so far, and I really hope and pray it gets better. but I feel bad for my mom cause she is really sick. but anyways... I just hope today gets better.

IJWTS don't move to Pittsburgh until you visit it, lol. People are correct that it smells, the people aren't very nice, and it's surrounded by mountains, which means every street is a hill, which means you'll be replacing your brakes a lot and using lots of gas going up and down :) I hated it there.

IAWTS that www.literature.org is the best thing since pretzel nibblers. It has tons of classic books that you can read online for free. I'm reading "Dracula" right now...deliciously spooky.
