CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS - This board seems awfully quiet. Then again, I'm not usually awake at this hour... at least not on a work night. I fell asleep right after dinner, only to wake up in my clothes. I suppose it's time to get ready for bed, but I already feel well rested.

ijwts- i don't feel like i fit anywhere: here there anywhichaway and it's a bummy feeling. I'm sorta tired of trying. And it's not even that i want to fit with people who think they fit; i just want an appreciation of multifactied weirdness and originality of souls. It's really getting me down tonight

IJWTS - Avatar was just "ok". Great visuals and cinematography only partially compensate for a love story that seemed contrived and predictable and a main character I didn't like. The obvious statement about US foreign policy in some of the dialogue could also have been a little less obvious.
