  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ( John 14:6 )

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." ( Romans 10:9-10 )

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" (Acts 3:19)

Jesus said He is the only way you can receive eternal life. The Bible says you must repent of your sins and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. If you don't, you will be condemned for eternity:

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ( John 3:18 )

To receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, simply do as the Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10 above...believe in Him with your heart, and confess Him as Lord with your mouth. You can say this prayer or one similar for your confession:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins, and God raised You from the dead. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Your name, amen.

If you have just received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, welcome to the family of Christ, and to eternal life! Please read and study your Bible, and pray every day for guidance. If you don't have a Bible, here is one online: Blue Letter Bible.

If you have questions about Jesus or salvation, or if you would like to share your decision in receiving Jesus as your Savior, we would enjoy hearing from you. Please contact us via our web site, Divine Intervention.

In His service,

Keith

Welcome to the boards IssaE136. Actually, John 1:45 refers to Jesus ( Christ ) as the son of Joseph, not the son of Mary...

In Matthew 5:17-19 Jesus ( Christ ) is the one speaking, and does not refer to Himself as 'son of' anyone in those verses...

Acts 13:6 is referring to Barjesus ( Bariesous in the Greek ), not Jesus ( Christ ) ( Iesous in the Greek ). Barjesus ( a false prophet of Paphos ) is a different person...

Acts 8:9-11 does not refer to Barjesus ( referred to above ), but to Jesus ( Christ ), who speaks in verses 10 and 11...

Colossians 4:11 is referring to Jesus ( Christ ). The former of these names is the same with Joshua, and was very frequent with the Jews, and the later a surname that was sometimes given to men remarkable for holiness and righteousness: so Joseph, called Barsabas, is surnamed Justus in Acts 1:23 and James, the brother of Lord Jesus Christ, was called by the Jews James the Just.

Therefore, this topic is referring to Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God who has authority to give you eternal life with Him if you do as commanded in Romans 10:9 in the original post IssaE136. If you have more questions, please contact me through our website. Here's today's Truth...

Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ( Romans 5:18 KJV )

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! ( Romans 11:33 KJV )

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV )
