CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This scripture has really helped me, truly......Here are some others:
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises up against you in judgement, you shall condemn, this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,' says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)
"But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he WILL FLEE FROM YOU." (James 4:6-7))
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." (2 Chron. 7:14)
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is IN you is greater then He who is in the world." (I John 4:4)
There are just a couple more that I won't quote, but are really AWESOME!! (Hey, what part of the Bible isn't? )
1 Tim. 5:22 (Use discernment before laying hands on anyone); 2 Tim. 3:1-5 (End Times); 1John 4:1-3 (Test the spirits); Acts 3:19 (Recieving complete conversion); Matt. 11:12 (This is my pastor's favorite verse - Take back the kingdom!); Zec. 4:6 (By Spirit not might or strength); and of course, Eph 6:10-20 (armor of God)......

psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
- when we are faithful to Him and submit ourselves to His will for our lives, He blesses us beyond what we can imagine.
philippian 2:9-11 - And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more nad more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day .of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.
