• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For everyone struggling with doubts about their salvation or other ocd related thoughts, I urge you all to visit this website. If the Lord puts a burden upon your heart, please make a donation to support their ministry. This man led me from absolute and total doubt and despair to full assurance of my salvation. Hi! I wanted to thank you so much for posting your recommendation to visit this website. I checked it out last week and have listened to most of the messages on the site. I praise God that He used you and Richard to finally free me from the state of confusion and unbelief that I was in. I understand things now that I have for many years prayed to be able to understand. I thought that I was trusting only in Christ, but I wasn't, as Richard showed me through his site. Since yesterday, virtually my whole outlook on life has changed. I finally glimpse what freedom is like, what God's unconditional love is like, what peace is like... All of these topics eluded me. But I now, after years of doubting my salvation can finally say at last with certainty that I am saved! I'm not saying my OCD is cured. It probably never will be, and in fact, I believe that my OCD is one of the reasons I was finally brought to the conclusion that I can in fact do nothing at all. BUT Praise God! Christ is able! Worthy is the Lamb!
Please, everyone out there who's suffering through the torment of not feeling saved, know that God loves you, keep seeking Him and when you are able to finally accept and understand the truth, God will reveal it to you in Jesus.
