I'd been going by my heart all my life. This time I went for logic. For the first time in my life, I "dated around," and narrowed the field to several men from which I had a choice. I chose the one logic dictated. My heart might have gone with someone different--and been wrong again! But, strangely, when I chose based on logic, my heart quickly followed and is now completely given to my fiancé, my soulmate.

My heart had been leading me wrong because it had been damaged, much like if the steering mechanism of a vehicle is damaged, the vehicle will not steer correctly. So, with a nod to Carrie Underwood, I had to let Jesus take the wheel. And I'm so glad He led me right.

Women are by nature emotional, men are by nature logical. What's amazing is when an emotional woman and a logical man combine to make that decision together.
I think this is a common but dodgy generalisation made up by men who wanted to justify not educating women during the renaissance. ;) Logic, illogic, emotion and cold hard reason are pretty well divided between the genders in my experience.

I used logic to choose whether or not to pursue a possibility of marriage with someone I felt an attraction to. Been married almost 4 years now and I don't regret not letting go and allowing emotion to rule.

I take exception to the thought that men cannot be emotional, and women cannot be logical. Actually, I don't really think one excludes the other.
