I think God is MUCH more lienient than the worlds governments and He NEVER requests more from you than He gave you in the first place. There is scripture to prove He expects you to care for your own family before you give to the house of God.

I don't believe in tithing. If you want to help someone do it yourself directly to the person you see in need to help. Preachers take your money and build million dollar churches and help no one. If preachers wanted to help, they would be helping instead of wasting money on billion dollar churches. Help the real needy not someone who wants to have luxuries.

Michael, the Kong Hee scandal has effectively reached one billion people via print, media & internet. Even Arab newspapers carry the story! The Facebook page CHC Confessions has a lot of detailed info on the court case. Never before in the history of Christianity, has anyone brought so much disrepute to the cause of Christ. Sun Ho is the cult leader Kong Hee's wife. If you google Sun Ho China Wine and Kill Bill, you will find it almost to believe that a so called christian could produce such evil videos! It is just mind boggling,the depth of depravity of these wolves.

However, prosecutors, on behalf of Singapore authorities, exposed up to $50,000,000 stolen from the church. At the same time Asian media was providing cases of people about to sue Kong Hee because his books and Bible school materials were all plagiarised. He is not a pastor's toenail, only a cult leader, so what he was doing was stealing information from real pastors and using it word for word in his sermons. Then he converted these to books and cds that he forced cult members to buy at hugely inflated prices. All materials that he sold to his christian school students and bible school students was plagiarised. He also sold these materials at inflated prices.

Personally I don't think Kong Hee will repent before then. Kong Hee is scamming about $12-15,000,000 in legal fees from his cult members , even although the Government told them not go solicit legal funds from members. (There are six leaders involved and Kong is paying there fees-if he doesn't,they will squeal and really spill the beans).

There's a scripture for everything...you can prove from the Bible that the disciples played cricket! ..."Peter stood up with the eleven and was bowled". Or you can use combined scriptures out of context eg. "Judas hanged himself". & "Go thou and do likewise."
I've been saved over 40 years and most of that time was under some of the world's most stable teaching. The first few years of being saved I spent at least 16 hours per day with bible study,prayer, church and witnessing. I understand the word of God. However the Bible talks of obeying those in authority and the court system is part of God's plan to bring charlatans and cult leaders like Kong hee to justice, and hopefully lock them up so that they don't continue fleecing the sheeple. Do yourself a favour and look up the Dan Strader case in Florida. Dan is the son of pastor karl Strader, a very well known AOG minister. Dan had a similar attitude to Kong Hee, thinking that the flock's money was his. He used dud investment scams to con millions of dollars out of, mainly elderly, parishoners. Karl had tens of thousands of saints praying that Dan would go free. Some elderly folk actually died prematurely, after losing their life's savings. The judge, bless his good heart, gave Dan 45 years without parole. He has blown all his appeal chances to date and won't get out until the 45 years are up. At the time, his business partner repented and confessed, and got a few years. He has been out of prison for many years now.
