An encounter with God, both physically--through the sacraments of baptism (an encounter with His death and resurrection), oil (an encounter with the Holy Spirit), bread and wine (an encounter through the mingling of bodies and bloods)--and spiritually--through constant prayer and reading of Scripture and the Fathers.

Always, though, always...an encounter first and foremost.

I am interested in Orthodoxy and was wondering??
"This is the Apostolic faith, this is the Orthodox faith, this is the faith of the Fathers, this is the faith that is the foundation of the world."
from the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy.
In Xp,
Eusebios.

That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard,
which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked upon,
and our hands have handled,

concerning the Word (Logos) of life—

the life was manifested,
and we have seen,
and bear witness,
and declare to you that Eternal Life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you,

that you also may have communion with us;

and truly our communion is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

(St. John Theologian)
