I have had a really wonderful life overall. I would do some things differently, yeah, but hindsight is 20/20 huh? I had a wonderful childhood. My mother marvels at how perfect my world was as a child. She and my father are far from perfect, but they did everything for us and taught us so much. My brother and I were close growing up. Even though we were poor, until recently, we didn't notice much.
The biggest things I would have changed would have to be 1.) the way I cared for my health as a teen. I began starving myself at 14 and then had chronic sinus infections and was on antibiotics a lot, not to mention other meds. The meds totally obliterated my health and I have spent the past 10 years trying to recover. I didn't really know any better at the time, though.
Secondly, I would have avoided one toxic relationship in particular. Yeah, it made be a stronger person, but it also really damaged me. I do regret those decisions. I feel like it is almost taboo these days to have regret. I was a fool and I regret it. God could have found another way to build character in me rather than me disobeying Him.
Anyhow, I am very very blessed :o) Praise God!
