  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If you could do it over??

I have had a really wonderful life overall. I would do some things differently, yeah, but hindsight is 20/20 huh? I had a wonderful childhood. My mother marvels at how perfect my world was as a child. She and my father are far from perfect, but they did everything for us and taught us so much. My brother and I were close growing up. Even though we were poor, until recently, we didn't notice much.

The biggest things I would have changed would have to be 1.) the way I cared for my health as a teen. I began starving myself at 14 and then had chronic sinus infections and was on antibiotics a lot, not to mention other meds. The meds totally obliterated my health and I have spent the past 10 years trying to recover. I didn't really know any better at the time, though.

Secondly, I would have avoided one toxic relationship in particular. Yeah, it made be a stronger person, but it also really damaged me. I do regret those decisions. I feel like it is almost taboo these days to have regret. I was a fool and I regret it. God could have found another way to build character in me rather than me disobeying Him.

Anyhow, I am very very blessed :o) Praise God!

About 10 years ago, my life was derailed by something beyond my control. Were it not for a head-injury (no permanent damage), I'd probably be a mechanical engineer. As it stands now, I loathe most of what I'm actually qualified to do. Office assistant? Blegh... but at least it beats data entry or flipping burgers.

I'd warn myself to avoid that particular situation, but I'm not sure I'd make different personal choices.

I am glad that I really for the third and final time, really asked Christ into my life. Because I was baptized and THEN got saved.
When it should had been the other way around.
I wanted to make sure that I was saved and saved for good.
To really feel Christ into my heart and soul.

If you could live your life over, exactly has it happened without any changes, would you do it?

For me the answer is no way.
I had my lessons to learn and without them, I wouldn't be the same person I am today so I'd say -no. I was rather self centered when I was younger

I don't think I'd change anything. I am happy with the road I've taken but obviously wish things would have worked out better.

I wish my parents wouldn't have gotten divorced. Much of my teenage years were difficult due to the aftermath of this occurring. I wish the jobs I had would have worked out better. I wish my parents (mom & stepfather) would have been a little more upfront about their financial situation. For the past ten years I feel like I've tried to help them but in reality maybe I overestimated the amount of help they needed because they did a poor job of communicating with me.
