Seems like the Senate Democrats don't care whose lives they change and ruin, just as long as they get their political pound of flesh. She "came out" because she was basically outed by Feinstein.
I never tried to suggest consent is optional, that’s your own assumption.
But this woman has zero credibility in my book. For starters, there’s references to ‘not being able to remember’ all the good old times at the Animal House described in this yearbook (which was scrubbed from the internet). Drunks don’t seem to be the best at accurately recalling events. Feminists are proven liars who seek to cause harm to men. The lifestyle described in this yearbook is the epitome of feminism. I don’t trust this woman. I surely wouldn’t want someone with this sort of background teaching my offspring either..unless they were going to bartending school.
The lie detector test was conducted by a retired FBI agent working for her lawyer. If I'm not mistaken, didn't she take a lie detector test performed by the FBI, and that she passed it? If yes, has Kavanaugh taken one as well? But if he hasn't, would he be willing to? And what if he did take one, and that he passes it as well, could that not lend credence to the present theory circulating via Ed Whelan, that maybe she was almost raped By his doppelgänger instead, apparently meaning Kavanaugh's Georgetown Prep classmate, Chris Garrett? Apparently it was in Chris Garrett's home where this took place, according to the theory circulating.
The bottom half of your post looks like you said it rather than being part of a Quote. That was a question not an assumption
Assuming this characterization of the doctors past is totally accurate, she was often drunk and promiscuous etc, how does that effect her current ability to teach statistics?
With all the brushing off of this alleged assault as being a long time ago and foibles of youth I would think that the woman past would fall into the same aww shuck kid will be kids blanket amnesty.
True it was an exFBI agent, but I didn't read anywhere that they worked for her lawyer. It's more likely that they have their own business. Have you got a source? The lie detector test was conducted by a retired FBI agent working for her lawyer.
Lawyers hire contractors who do the test. That would be working for.True it was an exFBI agent, but I didn't read anywhere that they worked for her lawyer. It's more likely that they have their own business. Have you got a source?
Too bad the IRS doesn't see it that way.Lawyers hire contractors who do the test. That would be working for.
I can, just barely, imagine him giving an apology and explanation of his change as a human being that would convince me that this is not an automatic disqualification.
Pretty serious accusations, and this drunken party girl lifestyle that was embraced by her Alma mater is quite damaging to her credibility. This whole thing just stinks of more leftist fabrication to me.
I dont want him confirmed because I think he is a partisan hack, not because of these...let me be discrete here...spurious accusations. He will tow the party line and is the most partisan potential Supreme Court judge in history and that is not intended as hyperbole. No, I dont think he should be confirmed but I don't think Trump desrves to be President. Based on the context of the question I see nothing stopping it. Bottom line the accusations are simply not credible, which pains me to say since I worry that they might be true. Even if true it would have been some boys getting a little frisky and her emerging unharmed. I would rather see a partisan hack in the position then let this be dragged down to the level of scandal mongering that already plaques our political system.I've head some pretty disturbing defenses, both on the news and around here re: Kavanaugh. Not so much "She's lying"; I expected that. It's the "It doesn't matter" defenses that concern me. "Boys will be boys," "just a kid," "Nothing actually happened," "just a little groping..."
I'm curious about which way the wind is blowing on this one.
Thoughts?
I'm not sure why a heinous act committed as a minor 36 years ago should disqualify someone from a high office today. Could you connect those dots?
Investigate what? If they have the basis for a criminal investigation there is nothing stopping them. If there is no complaint filed in Maryland then what crime should they be looking into?Had he been 18 instead of 17 when that had made much of a difference to you?
He could be on the bench for another 36 years. I have no problem looking at his record from 36 years back. It has to do with his judgement. The FBI needs to investigate. Seems he'd want to clear his name if he did nothing wrong.
We have a saying around my parts.Had he been 18 instead of 17 when that had made much of a difference to you?

A red fox may fool a one eyed opossum but a Tom cat never.
