I know. But it doesn't say anything about "if this nation".It speaks of "healing their land".
I know. But it doesn't say anything about "if this nation".
How do you know that?"their land" equates with whatever nation they reside in.
How do you know that?
Well, if we look at the verse in context we can see that "My people" are the Israelites and their land would be Israel. What else would it mean?
Well, if we look at the verse in context we can see that "My people" are the Israelites and their land would be Israel.
How do you come to that conclusion? It applies to whoever would be called by His name. That would apply to "us" if we are called by His name, and are thus "His people".
Those in 2 Chron 7:14 were lost, else why the need to repent while they could continue in their wicked ways impenitently and be saved while remaining unforgiven. Of course this is not possible.I don't believe that God has lost people.
How do you come to that conclusion?
Where does it say they are lost and need to repeat? Those in 2 Chron 7:14 were lost, else why the need to repent while they could continue in their wicked ways impenitently and be saved while remaining unforgiven. Of course this is not possible.
Have you ever read the verse in context? It refers to "His" people. That includes "us".
We are His people.
Have you ever read the verse in context?
Where in the passage does it say it's for all of God's people throughout all generations? The verse refers to all of God's people throughout the generations, just as God planned to bring into His "family" the Gentiles, as He promised to Abraham He would, when He promised that the entire world would be blessed through Abraham, and just as Paul was a "missionary", focusing on the Gentiles, to bring them into the family of God, and to be "His people". The verse applies to any and all of God's people.
In the NT, which is for today, we find a similar theme (or meme) in what Paul wrote.
With the goal that we believers can live peaceful and godly lives in our nation where God has placed us.
That is a great blessing to live in such a way in this evil world. And for us to have such peace and quiet versus revolution and uproar and anarchy and oppression would necessarily involve God's blessing of that nation where you live. That He would restrain the evil powers of wickedness in the land who roam about seeking to devour kill destroy everything.
1 Timothy 2:1-2New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Where in the passage does it say it's for all of God's people throughout all generations?
You keep making claims about the verse that aren't supported by the verse.
Is our land healed?
