Gal. 2:7-8
7But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles

So, now we see that Peter was only preaching the Gospel to Isreal. Oops.

Or at the very least they fail to teach this history at all and leave it up to the individual to try and learn it on their own.

It's what my Priest calls "BAD HISTORY".

ALL of the Ancient Church agree that PETER was in Rome... and that he was indeed Bishop of Rome.

Pope=Father (A common name for ANY Bishop.)

Nope..... JAMES was the first Bishop of The Church.

The first Church was Jerusalem... Peter was NEVER Bishop there.

I don't care what the ancient Chruchs say. What does the WORD of GOD say? Paul, NOT PETER, was the Apostile to the Gentiles.

Rom. 15:16
16That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Here we have a verse written by good ole Paul to Rome. He is telling them that HE is the minister to the Gentiles.

Note that Paul calls Peter what? Cephas. He knew Peter was the foundational Rock of the Church.

He said he stood up to, Cephas, the head of the Church in other words. Why? Because Peter was not practicing what he was preaching. Paul never said what he was preaching was wrong, just that he was not practicing what he was preaching.

This verse actually proves further that Peter was the head of the Church, it does not disprove it.

Also go to the verse in Galatians that says Paul’s authenticity as an apostles of Christ was verified by Peter and James.

No one has self-appointed authority to preach and teach. Jesus assigned authority to his Church.

All teaching especially bible interpretations is gauged against what the Church teaches. This is how we are to “test the sprits” as Paul says, to know if we are being lead by the Holy Spirit or our own human intellect, human spirit or worse the evil spirits.
