If Jesus retuned, would you recognize him?

Whilst my last post was facetious (for which I apologise) there was a slightly serious point. I was under the impression that Christians expected to witness the 2nd coming

I will not participate in debate with the other poster as per Op's request but you were right to be under that impression (it's a good general impression, of course others hold to other theology but I believe it's the minority)

I thought he was supposedly resurrected and ascended bodily into heaven?

Did the doctrines of Christianity change sometime in the recent past?
