Then the professor becomes one of the students and passes the impassable test he created to save his students from the guaranteed failure that awaits them.If that were the case, absolutely no one could be saved. Is that what you are saying Christianity teaches on the subject??
God doesn't want to force him to anything, so it's up to him. He will sometime find the truth, I guess, if he keeps asking.Seems like an awful lot of work just for God to change His own rules.
And what if he doesn't believe he is a sinner? He literally said that he doesn't believe Christ is a savior of mankind. How can he be saved? How can God keep him unconvinced of his only hope for salvation?
Clearly, well this thread was constructive to the point that it establishes many more biblical truths. I can see the futility of discussion.
‘Look, you scoffers, be astounded and perish; for I am doing a work in your days, a work that you will not believe, even if one tells it to you.’
"that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit."
Then the professor becomes one of the students and passes the impassable test he created to save his students from the guaranteed failure that awaits them.
If my father is invisible and doesn't reply when I try to talk to him then, what good is he as a father? Dad's supposed to be here for us... Where is He?But it is not eternal, but temporary. Our perspective of time is but a twinkle. If you place your trust in your father, and obey him, you can be confident you will come to no harm. Because he watches over you, cares for you and directs you. How can your father help you if you turn away from him?
Maybe he does?Indeed, He doesn't force you, your rejection is self inflicted. I would expect you to understand more about the principles of God, being a Christian for forty years.
Yeah that actually would be better. What He's doing now is watching His creation kill itself so that He can save a select few. Would a parent let their child commit suicide just because they've reached adulthood and are independent or should they try to stop something so harmful? If you love someone, why would you force them to do that with which they do not want to. In your argument God would be more benevolent if we were robots lacking free will?
It's always in the last place you check. You just haven't looked hard enough.
Like I said, if He's invisible and doesn't reply when I try to talk, He is useless as a father. I'll stick with momma Earth, I know she exists.Actually, the context was to think of the reliance of an infant with their father. You are just derailing the thread to childlessness.
There's been worse tragedies in history. Is it likely that they would have portrayed what Jesus said and did accurately? It would be doubly tragic if they died for what they believed in and it was inaccurate or a farce whether they blatantly lied or were mis-led, would it not?
Thank you kindly.
Fair enough. He is then, apathetic or indifferent towards a large part of His creation.God doesn't want to force him to anything, so it's up to him. He will sometime find the truth, I guess, if he keeps asking.
John Kilpatrick said: STOP criticizing God because you don't know what He's up to. It's time for the end time harvest with the uncountable amount of people saved and limbs grow in out like with the Azusa street revival. He is long suffering and waits for that, for the Christians to become mature and like Jesus.Yeah that actually would be better. What He's doing now is watching His creation kill itself so that He can save a select few. Would a parent let their child commit suicide just because they've reached adulthood and are independent or should they try to stop something so harmful?
I see what you did there.
If that were the case, absolutely no one could be saved.
No, I'm not talking about being saved, but about earning a score (an impossible one) that gets one into heaven.
Becoming saved is a different issue. It's basically like a game show where one must guess the correct answer in order to win the new car!
Being saved = getting into heaven.
