I'd get me a dog

I relate to that, Ctay.

My parents never wanted us to have a dog, so we didn't. Then my husband consented to my cat--which became cats (he said it was a good thing he loved me a lot), but still didn't want me to get a dog.

Then I prayed, and asked the Lord for one of my friend's dogs' puppies. It was amazing what happened after that. My friend called me one morning to ask me to pray for a puppy her dog had delivered the night before. She bred toy poodles, it wasn't an unusual request. The puppy had gotten stuck in the birth canal, and had only just barely survived. She had to resusitate it. I prayed, and as I prayed the Lord said to me, "That's your puppy."

The puppy lived, and my friend told me that she was going to not sell it but keep it for me. Somehow, I got some money together, but there was still the problem of my husband. When my husband heard about this puppy, though, he agreed! Then still another friend unexpectedly helped me buy the puppy as well. God worked through three other people to bring me my little dog.

Something else unusual--that was the last puppy my friends' dog "Sugar" ever had. I had prayed for one of this poodle's puppies because of her sweet personality.

Today "Dante" follows me around everywhere. He is never far from me. I am so blessed.

I thought you would, Ctay.

Augh I hate my character today. I'm dressed up for one of those silly contests.

Thank heavens I'm already married so that I don't have to dress up in things I detest. I can hardly wait to get out of these clothes. I feel itchy and hot just looking at it. And I HATE my hair.

That is an awesome story. I love dogs. I used to be a cat lover but I don't know what happened, lets just say I don't like them anymore.

I still have a cat, "Chaucer." He was literally an alley cat when I rescued him. He follows me around as well, although not as openly as my dog does (he pretends he doesn't follow me around). At the moment both are sleeping near me.

There's something about dogs I really love--I can understand why you love dogs.

I think its the unconditional love they give. No matter how bad your day is they greet you at the door, tail wagging. Now a cat...if you had a bad day, they don't care ^_^

Yes, it is the unconditional love. And how right you are, dogs are ALWAYS happy to see you. Whereas a cat...well, they are happy, too, but not as openly.

My cat jumps into my lap every morning and covers me with his grey fur. My husband quips that I just have to get grey jeans, and no one will ever know. Right.
