If Evolution, why care?

WHERE in the bible, does it say that we have to beleive in creationism? where does it say i am condemned to hell if i dont beleive in creationism? Im sick of being told im not a christian cos i happen to beleive evolution, and that i might beleive the universe came into being in a different way stated in the bible. I still beleive in God, i still accept Jesus. But i think God created the universe in a different way than creationists suggest.

Clearly, you don't worship the Bible enough.

For most YECs it seems impossible to believe that there could be Christians who accept current cosmological, biological and geological theories. It seems to be part of their religion that anyone who accepts these things must be an atheist.

Even as a non-believer I find it frustrating, so you have my sympathies.

There's a difference between "God created" and "God did everything that it says in Genesis exactly and literally as written in the the King James Bible.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). Did your god bring about heavens ? If he did, were the heavens created over time?

So was the new righteous man created over time? Did God have to go through a trial and error stage to figure out what a new man was, or did He already know what righteous was and create the new man instantly?
