If Ellen White wasn't a true prophet then God does not exist?

As for the "probation", a parable was given previously.
Indeed it was. Unfortunately, the interpretation of the parable led some to the conclusion that Jesus will one day leave us and foresake us. Not exactly Biblical.

had no time and zeal to watch the video.

I guess the intention of the vid is to show SDA who may be uncertain about EGW that without EGW their faith zero, zip or zilch or something...

In effect I agree with him if Ellen White is not a true prophet then there the SDA is involved in some serious error.

IMHO faith or believe in God cannot have its foundation in EGW or in dates or timetables, once I discussed the prophecies of Daniel (to be honest I like to debate about things, crosscheck them, make myself familiar with different points of views without ever having to accept them, and I am always free to change my mind, never thinking I know everything because no man will ever come to know everything) anyways, the guy looked at me and started laughing, telling me that now I have gone too far, telling ridiculous things. He said that the dates are sure, you can check history and it will prove that. But the thing that made me wonder was that he actually claimed to have come to believe in God because of the dates. Now while that may be true, and in effect is a tremendous thing in its own right, I was thinking, can we prove God? can we build our faith on prophecies, what if the prophecy fails? are we gonna lose our faith? I would be very careful of putting our trust in human beings... lets rather put our trust in the Lord!!! cause he will never fail, ever faithful, ever true.

Personally I regard (and very much like) the prophecies. The statue in Daniel for example tells us we are living in the last days (thats what I think when I watch the news and the current state of affairs in regard to the EU) but faith and life are two different matters. and it is a personal relationship with Christ that I will seek after,

he that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
