Every story has two sides, two points of view, at the very least.. one person says its not for the thin-skinned.. another might say its less about people having thin-skin and more about *other* people having thick heads. *shrugs* Every coin has two sides.

Charlie, try not to let people get to you. Thats my best advice for you. Know who you are and what you believe, and be square with God. I wouldn't be here as I am otherwise :D

This is the kind of thread I used to thrive on and then end up in a huge fight with people about, but instead of posting how I really feel here, I made a blog entry about it which everyone is free to read. If there is one thing I contemplated a lot after being gone for 2 months, it is that its not wrong to have an individual mind, but you certainly wouldn't know that from the way people react to individual thought! :D

I read your blog post, and think you lack integrity in your conversion. It's one thing to strugle with changing your life and move slowly, but another thing entirely to presume God's forgiveness for your willful dissent to His teachings. Apparently you think you know better than the Church. I suggest if you want to be catholic, then be catholic. Don't think dissention is alright just because you're smiling while you do it.

For all my faults (and they are many) I have never presumed to rather smugly determine who should and shouldn't be catholic.

Of course, thats just me.
