Got a letter today from the DDS... The COLORADO DDS, I live in Georgia.
Immediately somethings up, called em up, apparently my license that I didn't apply for has been denied.
On top of that, I have 3 extremely expensive parking tickets, 5 incredibly high speeding tickets, and my car is impounded, and they found drugs and illegal weapons in the vehicle.

I have never been behind the wheel.
the earliest charge was may 14th, 2014, so this has been going on for 4 years, and this is the first time I've heard about it, because it's the first time I've put my address and ID into the states system.

Could demolish my credit, could possibly be arrested for crimes I didn't commit, and it's just going to eat up a lot of time that I don't have.

I just pray it was a simple mixup, of a guy with the same name as me, and they sent me the letter instead of him.
Or they misinputed the social when they were contacting him.

Awesome start to my adult life.

Please pray it goes smoothly, I just got everything on the right track, I'd hate to have it derail so soon.

To clarify, I'm completely innocent on this.
Though I know some people get locked up on bogus charges.

I hope everything gets straightened out. My bag was stolen on the bus last year right after my 16th birthday so I had a lot of money and gift cards in it. The thief used my mom's credit card which had my name on it (but it was her account). Fortunately the credit card company texted, emailed & called us! to let us know about suspicious activity right away. Before we even had the chance to call them to report it stolen! We weren't held responsible for any charges. My family have been the victims of ID theft too. My dad's new credit card got stolen from the mailbox & the thief tried to make charges. My mom & sister had credit card numbers stolen, they think from a grocery store. We've never had our credit hurt or had to pay for the fraud charges. So maybe things will work out for you, but it sure sounds like a big headache & I'm sorry you have to go through it. That stinks big time.

Forget that. If I had that happen to me, I would be headed down to my county magistrate's office to find out what was going on.

I'm not supposed to post in here, but anyway, get on top of this. Consider going to a lawyer for advice. I have a friend that went through this and it was grueling. Especially the criminal charges; that kind of thing can really make life bumpy.

Please contact the proper authorities and report this ASAP. Try to find out exactly what is being done with your identity. Could possibly just be a mixed up. It's happened to me. Supposedly, Social security messed up because some one else had a similar Ss number and my first name. Oh, and I had to pay to fix theIr darn mistake. Go figure how the system works here.

Someone broke into my truck late one night while I was at work and stole my wallet, ID, credit cards, and some money.

Call the police immediately to report it, and get in contact with all three credit reporting bureaus, get a credit check as soon as possible. While you get that check, put your account on fraud alert. If you've never been to Colorado then they could've pulled your social from medical records, which they can then use to get literally anything in your name.

Hope this gets sorted out for you without too much of a hassle.

I would recommend getting a credit report immediately and go line by line finding out what is bogus on it.

Visiting the police station might be a second step.
