We moved into a new house this last fall. The previous owner had it pretty overgrown and we are seeing so many new plants but are still trying to identify them. Does anyone recognize these?

Does anyone know what this is? It was growing out of what appeared to be some kind of succulent. I should have taken a picture from the back of the pot so you could see the source. At any rate, it's right cool and I had never seen one.

Ain't that the truth, lol.

Over a century ago at an agricultural experimental station in England they simply let a field of wheat (several acres) go to seed. It reseeded itself the following year but with lots of weeds. Five years later they found less than a dozen stalks of wheat.

Huh, I never would have guessed that. By the sweat of his brow, I guess. Wow.

My previous Pastor and his wife came over to visit me a little while back. His wife showed me this new app that she had on her phone. She could point her phone at a plant; and it would tell her the name. It worked really well; but she had to pay a monthly fee for the service.

I just found this free online website that works kind of nicely: Pl@ntNet Identify

I did a search on the second picture you posted.

Pl@ntNet Identify

Toxicodendron diversilobum (Torr. & A. Gray) Greene Anacardiaceae

Maybe the first picture of that set?

Thanks! That's really handy. I'm almost certain it's not Western Poison Oak. It grew out of a succulent. Escheveria Elegans (Mexican Snow Ball) maybe? I just looked it up. I really can't tell, for sure. I should have taken better pictures.
