I started a rpg up a long time ago that was called arena of the wicked and started cool and then went south. It didn't really go the way I was hoping. Here is a cool outline idea though that I would love to join in on. Hopefully the Game Master can control the idea better than I did.
Anybody who joins up the thing starts out with a story of how the became a slave to whatever entity(fantasy genre) The slaves are used as amusement in the arena and the story builds upon itself as the slaves begin to get to know each other and build trust with each other. They begin to fight in the arena against different creatures, but instead of every man for themselves, they fight together to survive. Finally, the arena begins to die down because they have never lost and so they decide to bring inevitable death to this team and we see how it turns out.
Any thoughts. Anyone want to run this type of story. Let me know so I can join.
First of, whoa, it's Flames! I haven't seen you in ages! Last time we were playing
Age of Mortals, Time of Dragons together. I really liked that story and had wished that it had gone better. Your idea sounds like it could be really fun, and I would be honored to write with you again.

Maybe I should make it... The thing I worry about is that everybody would just jump in there and want to kill each other, forgetting any semblance of a plot.
A western is a great idea! I remember at one point I was trying to think up a game (I've never acutally have the courage to start my own) and that came to mind. It would definately be a fun world to play in! *pulls out a cigar and starts banging out a melody on an old out of tune piano in a saloon*
Another idea was a lot like
Dinotopia only the island was a haven for fantasy creatures instead of dinosaurs. (If you don't know the book, a ship wrecks near this uncharted island and the two survivors end up on this island that has dinosaurs still living on it, and the people's whole society is based off of them. It's pretty cool, though fairly evolutionist.)
I think a really cool
Legend of Zelda RPG would be fun. There is one now, but it's just following the storyline of
Ocarina of Time. I had an idea, but I think it might be too complicated to be made into an RPG.
One thing that often stops me from actually making a game is that I almost always end up asking myself, "Why don't you just write that out yourself not as a game?" Perhaps some of you have gotten some ideas from this. I'm also afraid that if I start a game it will turn into something I won't like and then I'll be stuck in it.
God bless, and let's make something fun!
