CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello parents! I have come to glean your wisdom!

So, I am organising a baby shower for Assisi - once I can get her to commit to a date! But in the mean time, I'm looking for games, activities, food suggestions (pink and blue iced cup cakes and lamingtons is about as far as I have got!)

What have you done at baby showers that was enjoyable? What do you recommend? What should I avoid?

All tips gratefully accepted!

(in case you think this thread looks familiar, there's also one in WD and OBOB....)

as guests arrive give everyone a clothespin with a baby shape glued to it (like little plastic bottles or something) and instruct everyone that if you hear someone say the word baby to take their clothspin...who ever has the most clothespins at the end of the party wins. Also Ask everyone to guess how many squares of toilet paper it would take to go all around the expecting mothers belly...then measure it and who ever gets closest wins.
You can use anything you like for prizes.....we always just do lotions or body sprays or candles...things like that.

Some suggestions for food...

Chicken salad sandwiches
add some salads like macaroni salad, shrimp salad
a hot veggie

or

Beef sandwiches
Mostacolli/spaghetti
salads


or

Fried Chicken
salads
hot veggie
rolls

Keep it simple...with either sandwiches and salads or meats and salads and maybe a hot veggie as well. Thats what its like at the baby showers around here.

Make here favorite dish or something she likes and make sure it's something she's aloud to eat.Veggie and dips comes to mind.
