  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Interstate Compact. It is something you do to get kids from one state to another. We have been in the process of one (foster only at the moment) for 6 months.

ok. I know what interstate compact is :). I've only ever done it on the other end...as a social worker. It was really easy on that end, but on this end it's probably difficult waiting. I'm not sure why it's taking that long. I had a grandmother take her grandson to South Carolina for a year or so (she was his foster mom) and it wasn't a big deal. The annoying part was getting the home approved and the other adults in the home clearanced but since you already have a home study is shouldn't be taking this long.

It shouldn't....but the state of Washington are dragging thier feet...and we seem to have no rights in the process. I am so frustrated!!

Update-we did eventually have this happen, it just took forever....she was placed on June 19th.
