  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, so I'll let you run with that. I have no need to force anyone to accept reasonable evidence as I do.

To summarize, the ice core dating is religion. It is all based on assuming that the past had our laws, and nothing more. All corroborations are the same deal.

Kids, you may safely dismiss ice core dating. God was right all along. I find it sad that Christians have been some of the cheerleaders for the devil's lying propaganda....

onward...

So I win then.

Good "evidence"
It would be if science had any that dealt in what laws did exist, but they don't. Therefore, one may not assign said laws as the origin of all things that exist. If anyone could do that, then they could debate. As it stands, so called science is beaten here, and cannot muster a defense, because it is very true and demonstrated, that a same state past cannot be proven. You need it. You use nothing but it. Without it you have nothing. It is all that you are about from head to toe of so called science.

The ice age and cause of all the ice is a mystery to science. Sticking dates on features and layers in that ice is a dishonest attempt to pretend that they do know the cause. The fact is that all they know is the recent processes and ways that layers can be put down.

And don't pretend you could prove that present laws were in place in the far past, but 'gee I don't feel like saying exactly how..or gee, I am kinda busy right now...or blah..'

Well, that brings me back to where it all started. There were no natural laws last thursday. The entire universe was created last thursday, with embedded history, memories and ages.

The causes might be a mystery to you, but they certainly are not a mystery to science.

Milankovitch cycles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Milankovitch dream cycles are all total belief and speculation. No basis whatsoever, I am surprised you would dare to bring it up.

From your link

"The angle of the Earth's axial tilt (obliquity of the ecliptic) varies with respect to the plane of the Earth's orbit. These slow 2.4° obliquity variations are roughly periodic, taking approximately 41,000 years to shift between a tilt of 22.1° and 24.5° and back again. "

Foolishness, let's see you prove that bad religion!

Nope, I argue that the Bible was created last thursday, along with all the history embedded in it. Again, there were no natural laws before last thursday.

I can see it....claims that a long long cycle of years is involved....for no reason other than the turd assumed that our laws existed and caused some imaginary uniform effect on the planet, that would take (woulda coulda shoulda) 41000 years! However we do not know that, and science is a tot in diapers and just a toddler in real time!

The only one being foolish here is you. Churchill obviously never existed, except in the false evidence planted by the Creator (All praise be to Her). His "family" just have implanted memories.

OK, we read you loud and clear. Ice cores and Churchill are not real. Wow, you really saved the day for so called science, after the thread originator pooped out. Good work.

You can't have this both ways, either all of the past is wrong or none of the past is. You can't just pick and choose a random point in the past and go it all changed.

I think dad is too deeply immersed in his own glorious light to see the point.
Pot, meet kettle. The fact is that there is no comparison between pretending all the facts and evidence of last month do not exist. WE would know with more than reasonable evidence and science whether laws changed in any major way from last year. Laws that man uses every day.

However, if all the world was wiped out in a flood as God said and Jesus and the holy apostles confirmed, then history would come after, and, of course science long long after. In this case, how could we know with reasonable evidence?? All modern science has done to model the past or future is look at gravity and other forces and laws of the natural world of earth. (the surface of earth, and near space). Why not be honest and real here? This is exactly what all ice core divination of deep 'time' really is.

How would we know the world wasn't created last Thursday? Give me one way of knowing. Just one, and I will admit that you have defeated me.

The world looks exactly as it would if it were created last Thursday with the appearance of being several billion years old. Is that not evidence enough for you?

Not to me.

So how would it look different if it wasn't created last Thursday by an all-powerful creator (all glory to her bosom), wishing to convince some of us the world was billions of years old, and others it was 6,000?

Well, if you will not accept reasonable evidence I have no need to defeat you, you have already committed intellectual suicide.

The question is not how would it look, but how does it look, and why. It looks like a created world, made just when God indicated it was.

Not sure why you fantasize that someone made it look billions of years old. That is easily dispelled when we look at why some poor deluded souls think it looks that way.
