  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Im leading a small young adults group and I was wondering if anyone knew of good ice breakers or games to get the group more comfortable around one another. So far we have played Bible pictionary and toilet paper and m&m game. Tomorrow we are going to try a frozen t-shirt contest (the winner gets a $10 gas gift card). Im out of ideas after tomorrow, any one have any good ideas??????????

There's one where you take a list of facts around and you have to find so many people that conform to those facts. Each person has a copy of the list and everyone is given about 5-10 minutes to go around and ask one another if they conform to any of the things on the list. If they do, they sign the person's list by that fact.

For example, something like:

Find 2 people who have never had a cavity

Find 1 person who has been to Hawaii

Find 1 person who loves coffee

It's kind of fun and eventually everyone ends up talking to each other. Also, you could look up some ideas on www.residentassistant.com, it has ice breakers for RAs at dorms, but you could probably use the ideas for your small group. Some of them are really fun :)
