Would like to unload some sin areas in my life. General confessions and so forth (no criminal acts committed!)

Would like to do it privately, via private message here or equivalent.

Need 2 or 3 MALES, age roughly 35 to Methuselah. Each would get the same information, but there would be no mutual discussions between "all of us", I don't think.

Not looking for advice or counseling, although general comments are welcome and probably part of the price of admission anyhow. Confidentiality is expected.

I am Born Again, Saved, Baptized and a Believer. This is more about clearing some baggage before I go into some serious Spiritual warfare, I think.

Any takers?
Are you looking for actual confidentiality in this?

If so, you want a face to face meeting and nothing over the internet or the phone. The NSA knows all. So do the Russians, the Chinese, and the kid in Atlanta. There is precious little privacy left on-line. You can presume anything you type will eventually be all over the internet. Don't do it that way.

And you want a Catholic priest who cannot reveal a single thing on pain of excommunication. Not someone like me who might merely promise confidentiality and then blab it. So far, in most countries, governments cannot even subpoena a priest to testify against you, and the priest would do prison time before revealing anything. Other kinds of ministers might or might not be as tight-lipped. A doctor or lawyer should be. Lay people would have no professional obligation. With all but a Catholic priest you end up paying your money and taking your chances.

Cleaning some spiritual baggage is a wise thing. You know it. And it works.

I don't suppose I should refer you to a priest if you are not Catholic. However, if you just drop in they're kinda stuck with you. And you can do it behind a screen so they never even see you. Just don't expect that they would go all the way to actually absolve you if you're not Catholic. They would refer you to your own minister for that. And whether your own minister could or would do it is anybody's guess. Some kinds of Lutherans might. But maybe, if you don't clue the priest in that you're not Catholic you could confess, be absolved, and get a bit of spiritual direction to boot.

Not looking to be absolved. I am covered by Grace.
That's a whole different discussion. For this one I was exploring confidentiality in confession, both in terms of internet security holes and who might actually be a confidential hearer of a confession in today's world.

If it's nothing crazy, you can just journal it, or talk to a pastor, or something that doesn't involve revealing your personal problems to online strangers.
I would think the whole on-line stranger thing would be my biggest concern. The ones you think you know and the total strangers that somehow access it. Thus the idea of a functional confidentiality that actually works. One that you could confess crimes to.

I don't think men is qualified to hear our sin except if it a crime is involve. However, our confession should be unto God but if there is need for us to restitute our ways or our part, then there is need for us to asked God to direct us on how to go about it.

I think this entire prayer forum, to a large degree, is individuals expressing their personal problems. Including me, in another thread.

However, as stated, I am looking for a general confession of sins prior to engaging in some serious Spiritual Warfare.

To be honest, if some NSA spy wants to take my general confessions of anger, lust, pride, sloth, and so forth and sell it to the Russians.......

But, disregard the request. There is enough damning information in my prayer requests to trump anything I might confess, should someone need an angle or some leverage.

I, for one, will be praying for the original poster. A willingness to engage in spiritual warfare is a great good thing. One that requires some real purity. How many don't prepare and then get blasted out of the water?

Father, seeing this is on the prayer wall, not a confessional, I would pray that this one would learn to find Jesus Christ sufficient for confessing to, 1 Timothy 2:5, and apply James 5:16 only if they need physical healing for some sin that they have committed against someone they would confess it to. Amen
