How would I express a prayer to be punished? I have lived my life in sin and have tired of it, (both life and the sin) I figure I am going to suffer for openly knowing the word of God and straying so far off the path that I left the country. I want to get my suffering out the way and over with, whatever more suffering is in his divine plan for me is taking a while to get here. I don't wish to provoke a creator that already may be tried of me I just want to end the suffering like a painful shot. Weither the chooses I made end in eternal suffering or Non-existance. I tire of being a pawn in a game of Gods, Demons and men. I want it to end or atleast finish unfolding.

Can someone help? I would also like a couple sriptures telling where exactly do the viler people go? What could speed of my personal progess?

Why not just stop living in sin and turn to God? There's no sin He won't forgive. You only need to confess it to Him. Why live under the burden of guilt when a simple confession and a heartfelt desire to repent will set you free?

My prayer for you is that you accept God's love and understand His grace. There is nothing that anyone can do to receive forgiveness in the Lord Jesus Christ, beyond asking for forgiveness. His restoration is a gift. Jesus Christ took our punishment. He is full of mercy.

Psalm 103:1-12

Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Romans 3:22-24 (New International Version)

22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

If you will believe in Jesus as your savior and repent of the way you once lived and turn your life over to Him you will be saved. Repentance seems to be a bad word in many christian circles today, yet it is the reason so few professing Christians see no work or power of God in their lives. To repent means to stop living the way you once had. To turn away from the friends and influences that once controlled you and turn towards the Light of the World in Jesus Christ. No man can keep the moral law. that is why the law was given!!! To show us our deep personal need for a savior. Cry out to God in tears and repentance and you will hear from Him. There is no prayer formula to make it work. It's just you, your heart, and Him. God bless you.... He is mighty to save

Father, thank you for joining us in prayer for our brother in christ, loving monster! Give him wisdom and understanding so that he can leave his past where it belongs in the past. Help him to see that each day is a new beginning and that you can see what is inside his heart. If he asks and beleives, you will help him through ANYTHING and that includes forgiving himself for his sins as you forgive us and as you ask us to do for others. Give him peace that passes understanding while he awaits your perfect will in his life. Thank you for this and for all you do includning sending so many here to share your word and your love! ALL glory and honor are YOURS Father! Amen

Psalm 51

A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts ;
you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.
14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
the God who saves me,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise.
18 In your good pleasure make Zion prosper;
build up the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then there will be righteous sacrifices,
whole burnt offerings to delight you;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

You will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Reality: The only unfolding that needs to take place is your repentance by not doing this you are telling God his grace is not sufficent for you.

Revelation 2:11
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." '

Revelation 3:2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you

I will not pray for punishment, but I will pray that you open your eyes and ears to God. I pray that you acknowledge the need for a heart felt repentance and accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

:prayer:

Loving Monster -

God put it on my heart to stop by and give you a quick word. By the grace of God may it pierce your soul.

Though you might be determined to call yourself a "monster" God calls you a Son. Not by your deeds, not because you deserve it, but because you put your faith in the Son and He "has given the dead things life and calls those things that are not as though they were" (Romans 4:17)

You may think you are dead to God and deserve punishment but the Lord God has said to His children through His word "that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. There is nothing you have ever done, nor can ever do which will separate you from the love of the Father." (Romans 8:38-39)

Do you understand what that means? If you are in Christ, truly a Child of the living God, there is nothing that can take that crown from you. Not your thoughts, not your deeds, not your past and not your future. And most certainly not any outside attack of the enemy which comes to destroy you.

God bless you.

I've always believed in God, I believed in his Son and I believe that my mindset was cause for condemnation more that my actions but as of lately I have lost that feeling of overwhelming self loathing and the urge to have my heavenly father help me. I have become something of a cross between the enlightened and the self serving. I will live my life according the path that will help me reach my dreams. I no longer want the love that was denied to me as a child, while I will give others that love I don't care if I never receive it. I no longer wish to be, romantically involved and settled down into the domesticated life of the devout Christian male. I only wish for the creator to tell me at the end of my journey that I can rest. I have issues but I have come the point that I am fine with being a functional mad-man. I almost died tonight without a soul even batting an eye, it made me want to live and grow into more than what I am even if it is just to spite my fellow man. I don't know if redemption is possible for someone who doesn't love thy brother. Thank you for your Kind words though, they are very refreshing from the harshness of reality. That is why I like coming to this site.

MY BROTHER,

The reason your suffering "is taking so long to get here" is because your need for suffering was ended 2000 years ago on a hill outside of Jerusalem. All you have to do is stop willfully living "your life in sin" and reach out for the salvation your Lord Jesus Christ died on Golgotha to provide for you.

i would strongly strongly suggest that you get some spiritual counseling--pastor, priest, youth leader, elder, etc.--ASAP to help you get on track--you appear to have wandered from The Path a ways!

A BOND-SLAVE/FRIEND/BROTHER OF OUR LORD/GOD/SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST,
ephraim

From your first post I felt it likely you had a background short on love, possibly even abuse. This post has confirmed that. I'm glad you have somewhat more peace.

First, I concur with what the others have said, you do not need punishment - you need to accept the grace of God. Maybe it would help to read the Gospels and consider how Jesus dealt with repentant sinners?

Second, there is not a person alive who does not have regrets in the past. We make a choice to turn around and live as God would have us live.

Third, when we've been very hurt in the past, it can be hard to love other people. God can heal that too. This is an area I sometimes struggle in as I can find trust difficult. BUT while it took a healing journey, I now love other people with all my heart, I have a mercy gifting and I work with other people who have hurts to be healed and do it very well. Often people with hurts are very good at ministering to people in such situations. As sad as some experiences are, and we wouldn't choose them, we can also grow and gain a lot from them. I know this is a work God has done in me and a radical transformation.

I'm not saying for you to go out and minister to people though who knows what the future holds. Rather than pray for punishment, pray for healing, remind yourself of the mercy of God. What makes you feel you need punishment for what you have done wrong? Ask God to heal where that comes from. God just wants to love you and welcome you with open arms. The past is all forgotten. You have a fresh start with God.

The time has come for the LORD'S PRAYER. Say it slow and with real meaning from your heart. Forget about anything that is past and ONLY concentrate on your future.

The LORD'S PRAYER is the ONLY PRAYER given us by the LORD. HE could of given us anything HE desired but this one and only PRAYER covers all our needs and rids us of the past.

After the LORD'S PRAYER you can NEVER give the LORD enough THANKS, PRAISE, and GLORIFYING HIS NAME.

Let nothing else stand in the way.

Then repeat, repeat and keep on repeating this.

The storm will go, the clouds will disappear, and you will walk out into the SUNSHINE of GOD'S GLORY.

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

JESUS IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AT!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T SEE HIM!!!

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18:9-14

You have confessed your sins (agreed with God regarding falling short of His Holiness), as have we all. You have begun your road of repentance (turning from the sinful life you led and walking the righteous path).

What you HAVE NOT done is accept the PARDON offered to you by Jesus through his perfect sacrifice. While you might suffer a thousand deaths for the things you have done, there is NOTHING you can do to atone for the sins you committed--like everyone else, you have fallen short of perfection like the tax collector in Luke. You cannot even look to Heaven with a sense of your own righteousness. Atonement can only come from the death of an innocent.

Jesus died for YOU, friend. When you realize this, the piano will fall off your back. It was His life for your life; that's the deal. The deal is sealed when you leave your worthless life on the cross and allow Jesus to live through you by the Holy Spirit. It's that simple; it's that difficult!

When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation.
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep." In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's presence. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.

But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:11-28)
