Summary: "I wish she would just disappear!" And it was done. Susie Hawkson, talented older sister of Katie, mysteriously vanished one day. The police are convinced she was kidnapped, but Katie knows the truth: her sister is gone because she made it to happen.

"Name: Susan Hawkson. Age: 16. Description: Blonde, blue eyes. Last seen: At home in her room," the tall policeman muttered, scribbling the information down. He stood in the large room in front of a poster of some boy band, glancing around at the pink wallpaper with distaste. Sitting on the bed was a girl who looked around 13, looking miserable. It's all my fault...
Susan had always been prettier, smarter, and better. Her hair was gold, Katie's was copper-colored. Her eyes were startling blue, Katie's were a glowing green. Susan always got straight A's, always got complimented, always got everything she wanted. Out of sheer frustruation, Katie had wished her perfect sister didn't exist. She didn't expect it to happen.

Agent Slicer sighed, slamming his notebook down. "Ok, this is all I can think of. It look's like the girl's either run away or she's been kidnapped. There's no sign of any struggle, but it's a possibility since the window wasn't fully shut..."
"Yes, Susan always liked to enjoy the fresh air while she studied," Mrs. Hawkson muttered frantically. "And there's the apple tree right by the window." The cop nodded. Katie slipped out of the room and ran into her own. She grabbed her backpack and began cramming supplies into it, including her wallet and food. She silently sailed out the door and began to run.
She sat down on a park bench, considering her options.
1. Tell mom about the wish and risk dying early
2. Tell dad about the wish and be grounded for life
3. Tell the cops about the wish and be stuck in a place for Juvenile Delinquints
4. Find Susan
Number four sounds best, Katie decided. If I was perfect and suddenly got wished into nowhere by my sister, where would I be...?
Five minutes later, she walked into the mall.
