I have been working away for 3 years and 3 months.

I have decided to return home and get a job locally so I can see my kids more often etc.

BIG PROBLEM is the following.

Although we tolerate each other to a degree. We are truly different in so many ways.

How we deal with the children

Church and our take on Church life

How we spend our income

So, ok, I can deal with the above, I can handle that or get around it with some compromise.

This is the issue.

My wife has a compulsive hoarding disorder.

It is rife. It is not healthy. It is out of control.

She will not acknowledge it or want to deal with it. (I have gone down several routes).

THIS WILL MAKE MY LIFE A MISERY.

What to do ?

Has anyone been through this ?

DO I SUCK IT IN & GET ON WITH IT ? (carry my cross, deny myself etc)

or

DO I FACE FACTS & STATE I CAN NEVER LIVE THIS WAY.

Help.:)

Get a dumpster and put it to good use???

Every now and then a story comes out in the papers about an out-of-control hoarding problem. The person hasn't thrown anything out in ten years and now it takes a bulldozer to rescue the person from their house of junk. The house ends up having to be condemned as a health hazard and so on and so on.

I have a tendency to hang on to things a bit longer than I should, but if it gets beyond reason then sometimes drastic measures have to be taken. If it's really serious I might not be joking about that dumpster. The junk has to go before the house becomes a health hazard and a firetrap.

Your right.

Its got to the stage where I can't even be bothered to pay the mortgage on it. Whats the point.
