There's been a guy in my church that i've had the biggest crush on, but he now has a g/f, and I know they're very serious, probably get married. Thing is he's exactly what I want. He's an elder, first to jump to help out when it's needed, volunteers for everything. Has great insights to the Word. He is kind and courteous. Seems to treat his g/f very sweetly. It's been a long time, I find i'm missing the little things. It'd be so nice to have someone bring me a cup of coffee, give me a hug when things aren't going so great, sit and talk things over with me, etc. I'm really missing all that stuff, to the point where it gets very difficult. So I go to the Lord, His grace is sufficient, but at times there lingers the longing in my heart. That guy at church...I want one.

Well, it's good to recognize where you are and what you want. I won't go into waiting for God's timing and all that because we have heard that and know it. I believe that you are secure in yourself and in the Lord and so are ready for when the right man comes along. God bless you.

Yeah, if I dig down and am totally honest, I want one also scratch: can we clone this dude?? ) But God has other plans for me right - I guess I've whined enuff tho, cause He's recently given me some new guy friends.

There is this guy at my church that I like - sounds like your one and my one must be twins (except he isn't an elder) - he is a strong Christian, he really loves God, he helps anyone who needs help, a hard worker, kind, compasionate, and a hundred other great qualities, plus he is gorgeous. It looks like he has started seeing someone - and they do not seem suited at all! (its not just me that thinks that) I miss all those things you mentioned and at times it hurts soo much. I want one of those (if I am honest I just want that one!)

We know that it can get discouraging at times though, but even we don't understand why things work out, even in retrospect, trusting in the lord is the best thing to do.

My personal life is pretty uneventful right now but God has a plan.

And I think that much of what happens in life, especially the trials, is allowed so that we can practice our dependence on God. That is the foundation of our relationship with Him.
