Rene,

I haven't been keeping touch, but how are your kids "over there"? They are still in my prayers.

David

I only have one 'over there' Daughter came home from the Army after 6 months. He is doing fine, my mom and daughter both caught him on Yahoo Messenger yesterday, and I got an email from him today. Just keep him in your prayers, and my DIL, too!

Are you artistic? If so, what is your strength (i.e. painting, sewing, carpentry)?

edie

I used to sew, but haven't in a while. I lime to cross stitch, and crochet, some, too. years ago, I wrote poetry.

Do you have Sunday dinner plans? I'll be making a penne pasta in a simple pomodoro sauce tossed with grape tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella cheese. Maybe a nice glass of Pinot Noir or Sangviovese. Simple but yummy!!

That sounds good! What is a pomodoro sauce? I love pasta of any kind!! Today, I am just heating up some leftover soup, gonna spice it up though, and make some biscuits. :yum:

Pomodoro is about as easy as it comes. Slice up a few cloves of garlic and saute lightly in 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil (don't let it get brown, just soft). Add 1 can crushed tomatoes, salt & pepper to taste, a sprig or two of thyme, maybe 1/4 teaspoon sugar. Let simmer for 1-2 hours. At serving time tear up a bunch of basil in the sauce. It's a good base for barbecue sauce, pizza sauce, marinara, whatever. . . . . .

Do you have a favorite place that you'd like to retire to?

Personally, I'm narrowed down to Traverse City, Michigan or Asheville, North Carolina. Of course, I'd have to talk my church into moving with me - otherwise I stay where I am.

OK - now I don't mean this to be a morbid question, but . . . . assuming that all family members are safe, what one thing would you take with you if you had to evacuate your house in an emergency (i.e. housefire)?

(Since most people say photographs, assume they're ok and choose something else!)

I have been down that road before, and I would have to say the family pets. My daughter and I lost our home to a fire in 2002, and although much of our belongs were salvageable , we did lose two precious cats.

Have you ever read the bible from cover to cover?

I have not, and I need to make that a priority in my life.

Toilet Tissue Paper:

1) Over or Under?

2) Do you get upset when someone puts it on the "wrong" way?

3) When visiting do you notice if others have it the "wrong" way?

1)Over

2) No, I just turn it back the 'right' way.

3) Usually, but if it is 'their house'
then it isn't 'wrong', is it?

I was recently introduced to Honey BBQ chips. :yum:

What is your favorite(s) kind of chips?

I like cheddar and sour cream Ruffles.
