It could be that God is raising up a group of people that will rely on the Bible, and the Bible alone, to understand the meaning of future prophetic events that will soon take place.
It seems to me there are alot of people in the SDA Church who question the writings of Ellen White. Perhaps there is something to this.
If it gets more people reading and studying the Bible then it is a good thing. And perhaps God will reveal an endtime message for this generation as He has done in the past. It's something to think about; and pray about.

I agree with help_the_Lord. I am a member of the SDA church and I believe the church gives more credence to her than Jesus.
A question was posed by a member here asking why come here if people do not believe as he does. This question does not even warrant a response. Are you telling me that for a person to disagree with anything EG White states is blasphemy.
I saw an article. "ADVENTIST HEADQUARTERS TO SEND COPIES OF GREAT CONTROVERSY TO AREA. Google the words in red and you will see As you look at the picture, men are standing with their heads bowed while other are kneeling IN FRONT of the pile of books which reminds me of the pagans kneeling before their god. People made comments on the article and I have to agree with one, the person asked the question. Is the church pointing people to God's Son or EG White. It is a valid question.
I have nothing against the godly lady but she has become a false god in the eyes of the SDA membership. I attended church last Sabbath and the elder who preached mentioned her name more than Jesus.
The devil does not care who we worship once it is not the true God.

The church must realise that God almost destroyed the nation of Israel when Aaron made a golden calf. Throughout the bible God is very insensed at idolatry.
I wonder if the money which is being received from EG White books is the SOLE reason for this. Remember that the High Priests' motive was money. The church must desist from allowing people to glorify her instead of Jesus.
Many will be angry but the truth is the truth. A question is asked concerning a certain topic, instead of asking what Christ said concerning it, people say, what does EG white says and starts to quote her. I will not even go down the road concerning the contradictions. Suffice it to say to believe that Jesus would have come in 1844 is false regardless of what ever is said.
Matthew 24: 36 BUT OF THAT DAY OR THE HOUR KNOWETH NO MAN, NO NOT EVEN THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN. NOONE KNOW...WHETHER IT BE IN 1844 OR NOW. A failed prophecy CANNOT be used as a doctrine.
I wonder what Christ thinks when he hears the name of EG White mentioned more than his.
This is going to be a contentions issue here on the board, but people should be free to express their views. One must remember that people are not ridiculing Jesus.

What individuals do within a church they will be judged by... same goes for the leadership. This does not annul that the SDA church was commisioned to take the three angels message to the world. Sister White recognized the false teachings and apostasy within the church even in her day and warned that not 1 in a hundred would make it... those odds have increased significantly since.
These posts do nothing but prove what Jesus said about the enemy sowing tares among the wheat and that they must grow up together til the harvest. Irregardless, the SDA church is still, and will remain, Gods denominated church til the end. Many will come out of other denominations to know and understand the truth as given to the church 100-150 years ago.

John 14:6 I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. Truth is not a set of traditional beliefs. Christian doctrine is TRUTH when it is proven by the bible and nothing else.
These are the words of Jesus. The church cannot be substituted for Jesus. He is the head of the church.
When the disciples and apostles lived in the first century, the church was not named SDA. I think are many under the false impression that the church is a denomination.
The word church is a Greek word eklesia which means a group of called out individuals. The bible states that God knows who belong to him. When the Reformation took place people were fed up with the way the people were denied the bible, the way the Pope controlled the masses. There is an old saying here which states, "Anyone who thinks they know everything is a fool". Can you imagine if people did not question the Roman church what would be happening today.
The SDA church must remove its idol, and we all know what the idol is, today the churches hospitals are (allegedly) performing abortions, the universities are teaching evolution. (How can you claim to believe in God who is creator and yet deny him as creator. The SDA church has been in existence for a long time, but throughout history every organisation that existed saw the need for check and balances, and idolatry is a tool that the enemy will use. The thing about deception is that a DECEIVED PERSON DOES NOT KNOW THAT THEY ARE DECEIVED.
It seems to me that many members are more upset when questioned are posed about the writings of EG White than statements people make against Christ. People must understand that Christians will be persecuted for the name of Jesus. In the book of Acts the Jews (who kept the Sabbath) and the early church which kept the Sabbath too were persecuted, why because of the name of Jesus. The Jews told the Apostles dont preach in Christ's name which caused the Apostle Paul to declare, WE OUGHT TO OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MAN.

Never heard about the abortions and evolutions... hope those baby murderers will get what they deserve. Evolution as such doesnt hurt me, dont even ignore it
but child murderers aaaghhhh... Yep, the SDA has some serious problems... thank God I am not having that particular problems anymore...
