  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I told you so?

Just curious, anyone else a little frustrated with the abundance of "I told you so" sounding posts coming from people since the images of Iraqi's celebrating.  I support the war 100%, but I think our focus should be on peace, we should be happy that the Iraqi's are getting the liberation they deserve rather than trying to start fights with the war protestors about who said what.  Just a random thought, agree? disagree?

I agree, l333tace, the war isn't over yet. To me it just seemed like after seeing those images on tv and in the papers there was an over-abundance of threads addressing the anti-war protestors in an "I told you so" manner. I know that the debates are a two lane highway, I'm usually driving on that road :)

I took a safe way when I was not for or against the war. I had a lets wait and see attitude. A luxury some people did not have. To be for this war was a risk. They were taking a chance on coming out the bad guy. But now that the people in Iraq are celebrating their freedom, then it turns out the pro-war people are indeed good guys, and they are the liberators, not just another oppressor.

The anti war people has a safe way to go. It always seems good to be against war. No matter what the outcome is. If you look at the photos of the children who have been blown to bits, it is easy to be against war on some level. Even if you are pro war.
