I've studied the bible 35 years now, my first 25 I thought we had to obey the law, some of it in the old testament and all of it in the new testament. 10 or 15 years ago I met a guy who had studied the bible almost 50 times, I was at about 40 times then, and from talking to him I decided to see if I could study it more than anyone else, I studied 2 to 8 hours a day since then, now I can't find many people who agree with me, because most of them think you need to obey the law, even though nobody does.
I believe we're justified by love.
Romans chapter 4
13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
Isaiah chapter 45 verse 19
I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, 'Seek me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
