Hello! There is a scripture which says 'They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him' (Titus 1:16). God Bless

Thanks!

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

It says there you cannot love both God and the things of this World.

The two goes against each other. God says we must love each other. But love isn't just feelings, emotions, and prayers. We also must DO something for our brothers and sisters. Loving the things of the words comes at a great cost and if you do love the things of this world, you won't have left for our brothers and sisters. If you can't love our brothers and sisters in Christ, then you do not love the Lord. (Whatever you do unto the least of your brothers and sisters, you do unto Me - Matthew 25:40)

If you have nothing to give, then you don't love God. Giving only a small % of what you earn doesn't count. Even tithes are not enough. Tithes are only for the church. Even Pharisees give tithes. Would you really limit / cap what you give to someone you truly love?
