• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I really want to look up this site on why atheists don't believe the prophecies have been fulfilled. I know is not good why do I want to do that. I will only add doubt to doubt. So why do I want to so bad?

Sounds familiar. I used to want to learn similar things about why some people don't believe in Christ. I wanted to believe in God and wanted my doubt to go away, but I was also had fears that I might be following a lie. I don't think I typically got too much into atheist opinions because I had a sort of subconscious/conscious fear that I would find something that proved Christianity was wrong.

Again, I think it's normal for us to question our faith, and wonder why we should believe what we believe. However, we also have to take into account the fact that we have a severely debilitating mental disorder. We are obsessed with being "right." That feeling of rightness takes many different forms depending on the person.

But so far, your doubting symptoms seem very similar to mine, and I know now that these thoughts and feelings don't mean you're a bad Christian, or some kind of heathen sinner bound for hell.

I suggest you don't look up that atheist website, simply because it will not give you rest from your OCD. Because of your OCD, you will most likely assume the worst case scenario, which from your point of view would be that the atheists are right and that there is no God. This conclusion would not have come from sound reason, but from the crippling terror that OCD instills in you.

As I've said before, try just letting the thoughts go. Let them bounce around in your head without passing any judgement on them. :)
