hey yall im new to this site but i am a Christian. I was wandering if it is possible to move things with your mind or is it of Satan? I have done this and i have become successful. But i do not wish to continue doing this if it is of Satan. (or of demonic nature). Anyway's thanks....

This is what I believe. I believe that God has given us different abilities to be used. Weather it is teaching, being a good listener, juggling or moving things with your mind. Yes it can be from satin if it is used for satan. Its like every thing has a good of evil to it. But moving objects with your mind should only be used in a spiritual manner. For instance Pray then use your gift. I wouldn't use the gift with out praying to God first. You can use it in daily life but its best not to show off.

You got a serious talent your hands there chief. I would suggest hardcore prayer. Keeping an open communication with God is the most imprtant thing. And, if you have'nt already, talking about it with someone you trust that is an adult. Pray about that too. People don't understand things of God. We are not meant to, be if he has given it to you, it's for a reason. Seek out that reason.

Ok iv prayed about it right before i did it, and i asked God not to let Satan have any influence in this and me doin it. And soo i sat down and tried it, and i still could do it. But i still kinna felt unsure about it. Because even if id did pray about it and it really is evil then wouldnt you just be inviting Satan back in your house after you have rebuked him??

If you feel unsure about it then it's not of God. Yes, it is evil then you are letting the devil into your life. It's not of the Lord. The Lord doesn't give you powers to move objects with your mind. Doing that can invite demonic control into your life.

The Lord did give us our bodies though, and psychokinesis is an innate skill of the human body. I'd like to say its neutral, but it really depends on how you use your ability. If you use it for the furtherment of the kingdom of God then it's fine, but if you use it for the wrong purposes its evil. Since it is just as normal to the human body as walking then i'll compare it to walking. Walking would normally be viewed as normal, would it not? But say you use the ability to walk to walk into a porn shop and delve into the sin of lust...that would be evil, or at least ungodly.

As long as you can use your ablity without doubt and have faith, its OK. For now, it sounds as though you have doubt, so do as others have suggested and submit yourself to God in all things.

I think it is demonic. I have never read before that psychokinesis is a natural ability of our bodies. It sounds very bizarre. Demons can and do use physical force sometimes, and if they know you're trying to move something with your mind, they'll move the object.
Now, I could be wrong. Maybe it is possible for humans to move stuff mentally, without outside help. But it still seems curious.

The bible mentions spirtitual gifts of prophesy healing organization and so forth. Infact it mentions all the gifts possible to achieve. The thing is that, moving things with your mind is not mentioned AT ALL. So I can tell you that this is 100% not of God. If you or any of us is doing something that cannot be backed up by scriptures is demonic.

Most definitely not. We can only use certain gifts of God in ways that are approved of God. Such as the gift of healing.
At any rate, what Jesus was really trying to put across here was a symbolic concept. He was trying to stress the importance of faith when presenting requests to God.

You need to test every spirit, and this is good that you are doing so. Tell me, when is the first time you experienced this. Was it an accident or were you concentrating?
I do not agree that this can be ruled out as 100% demonic, until you go back to the time this ability first manifested itself, in what context, and what God is saying to you when you pray about it. (PRAY ABOUT IT!!!)

I believe that you need to be VERY careful!!! I do not believe that God gives us the ability to move things with our mind, if He did don't you think that He would have mentioned it in the bible. What I do believe is that satan can trick us into believing that we can control objects with our minds. I have had similar experiences, and as a non-practising Christian at the time had allow influences into my life that were not good for me. Have you been practicing meditation at all? Have you been hanging around with people or watching movies that would have a negative influence on your behaviour?

I dont think its demonic. I think we all have the ability, but for the most part that creative part of our brain gets shut down and mocked of the very first time a parent tells a child that there imaginary friend doesnt really exist. I mean, we only use 11 percent of our brains, could it be possible that we all have the ability to move things with our mind, given the proper training? Highly likely, I think. You should be cautious though, pray about it. This doesnt really come naturally to most people, for everyone its different, but I know that most people can learn to bend spoons with the least amount of effort, for some it took months and months of repeated trying, for others, it took a few weeks, it just depends on the person, and some people said they could even bend spoons without touching it. But this could very just as easily be of Satan, but I think you are the only one who would know. I dont think this sounds like a gift you want to just give up because a couple of people say its demonic, just keep on praying about it.

no i havent done any type of meditation all i did was sit down and try it..it did take a while for me to be able to do it ..but yes it did work..and no i havent been watching any moves with some friends that would influence me in this way......my friends dont even know about it.....but anyways...

The question is, what are you tapping into to do this . . these types of powers are evident when we tap into a source . . the question is, what source are we tapping into?

A way to tell is are we doing in obedience to God? Or are we doing it supposedly "ourselves" . .. are we seeking to do this???
Whe we seek to control things and people around us with "powers" we open ourselves to the denomic realm, the the agents of that realm are not going to reveal to us that it is them doing it .. they are going to allow us to think WE are doing it ourselves, out of some innate power or ability we have . . and all the while, entice us further and futher into their realm . . until we are so deep, that we are in their control . . then people have reported being tormented by these denomic beings . .
Do not attempt to do these things . .. consult a priest about it, one who understands these things and has had dealings with the demonic realm . . . I would recommend one who is an exorcist, not because you need to be exorcised, but they understand these things better than most do . . .
Be very, VERY careful . . the seduction is so hidden . .. I was seduced into this realm by "powers" I had . .. by the grace of God I found out they were not mine . . . I completely turned away from even trying to do such things . . once you are confronted with the reality of this, you are very, very cautious about such things, knowing where they can arise from . . .

Well the Bible certainly does not describe this as a gift of God. I'm not sure if it's mentioned at all. If it is, then probably in the OT.
I strongly recommend that you quit doing it. And pray for God to cleanse you with the blood of His Son and let His blood cover you completely, let His Holy Spirit fill you and surround you, and that He sends His angels for your protection as well.
Satan may tempt you by offering you gifts like the one you have described, because we humans are easily ensnared by anyone who offers us power.
I strongly recommend that you quit doing it. And pray for God to cleanse you with the blood of His Son and let His blood cover you completely, let His Holy Spirit fill you and surround you, and that He sends His angels for your protection as well.
