How? Because they don’t bow down to the trans agenda?Well that's rather rude.
Addressing someone in a way that they have asked you not to is rude. Period. Not giving into someone’s fantasy isn’t rude. Period.
No. Forcing someone to live a fantasy is rude. Period.Addressing someone in a way that they have asked you not to is rude. Period.
No one is being forced to live a fantasy. You are free to think whatever you like about Rep. McBride.No. Forcing someone to live a fantasy is rude. Period.
Correct. And people have a right to address Rep. McBride as they choose. No one is being forced to live a fantasy. You are free to think whatever you like about Rep. McBride.
They certainly do. That doesn't mean it isn't rude. No one is forced to be polite, nor is rudeness prohibited.Correct. And people have a right to address Rep. McBride as they choose.
So they must affirm the their so called identity or pronouns in order for it not to be rude? They certainly do. That doesn't mean it isn't rude.
Addressing people in the way that they wish to be addressed is basic politeness. Would you appreciate it if I started calling you Sheila? After all, your avatar is a woman. Or would you think that was rude?So they must affirm the their so called identity or pronouns in order for it not to be rude?
She does seem to. I admire her ability to stay focused on the issues rather than getting distracted by the petty rudeness of her peers.Rep. McBride must have tough skin.
They’re trying to control people’s speech.Addressing people in the way that they wish to be addressed is basic politeness. Would you appreciate it if I started calling you Sheila? After all, your avatar is a woman. Or would you think that was rude?

I'm not sure how requesting that people address you a certain way is "controlling people's speech." My friend John went by Harry his whole childhood. They days, he prefers Jack. I've never felt like he was trying to control my speech - I call him by his preferred name because that's polite. It doesn't affect me one way or another what name he goes by.They’re trying to control people’s speech.
No one's calling her a victim. I just said that people were being rude. Because they are.Mr. McBride made his choices and has to live with them. He’s not a victim here.
So call her "Representative McBride" if addressing her as "Ms. McBride" makes you uncomfortable. Some people aren’t comfortable with transsexuals and don’t want to compromise their views on it.
I'm aware. Also, my avatar is of Our Lady of Tenderness,
To be fair, it’s legally possible to change one’s name or go by a nickname.I'm not sure how requesting that people address you a certain way is "controlling people's speech." So think of it that way then. She has legally changed her name (and her gender). To be fair, it’s legally possible to change one’s name or go by a nickname.
Biologically, he’s still male. Dressing up as a woman doesn’t make him a woman. From my perspective. So think of it that way then. She has legally changed her name (and her gender).
That's fine. Her name is still, legally, Ms. Sarah McBride.Biologically, he’s still male. Dressing up as a woman doesn’t make him a woman. From my perspective.
